Chase Young certainly does not lack confidence. The former Ohio State defensive end is ready to prove that he’s the best player in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

Recently, Young spoke to ESPN’s Maria Taylor about the upcoming draft. The former Buckeye is expected to be the No. 2 selection in this year’s draft, behind only LSU quarterback (and former teammate) Joe Burrow. When asked if he thought he was the best player in this year’s class, Young had a confidence response.

“Yes, definitely,” Young responded. “I know I’m the best. Definitely.”

Last season, Young was considered by many to be the most dominant player in college football. After racking up 16.5 sacks, 46 tackles and forcing six fumbles, the defensive end received an invitation to the Heisman Trophy ceremony at the end of the season.

Some draft experts compare Young to a better version of Nick Bosa, who was this year’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year while with the San Francisco 49ers. If Young is really on that trajectory, he’ll be in store for a special year.
