Hours after the news broke on Friday, Young went to Twitter and released a statement:

Young admitted that he “made a mistake last year by accepting a loan from a family friend.” It happened, and as Young says, he repaid it in full.
He also says that he is working with Ohio State University and the NCAA to get back on the field.
It will certainly be interesting to see how this pans out. Young isn’t denying anything. He admits it. He knows he did wrong. He is working with the NCAA to help clear himself.
Will it work? Only time will tell.
