Justin Fields was the first B1G player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

With the No. 11 overall pick, the Chicago Bears selected Fields. He was the No. 4 quarterback selected in this year’s draft, behind Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson and Trey Lance.

Fields led Ohio State to a 20-2 record in his two seasons as the starting quarterback. He won a pair of B1G titles and guided the Buckeyes to back-to-back appearances in the College Football Playoff. Fields never lost a regular season game as a starter.

In those two years in Columbus, Fields threw for 5,373 yards and 63 touchdowns while also rushing for 867 yards and 15 touchdowns. He completed 68.4% of his passes and was a two-time B1G Offensive Player of the Year and a Heisman finalist following the 2019 season.

Fields become the second Ohio State quarterback taken in the first round of the NFL Draft in the past three seasons. Dwayne Haskins was taken with the No. 15 overall selection by Washington in the 2019 draft.
