Ohio State is off to a 3-0 start to the college basketball season. That includes a couple of uninspiring wins over Akron and Niagra, but a bigger issue for the Buckeyes right now is the health of Justice Sueing.

Sueing finished third on the team with 10.7 points per game last season and was expected to be a key contributor behind E.J. Liddell this season. Unfortunately, he has been limited to start the year with an injury and he was held out of Monday’s win over Bowling Green due to that lingering issue.

After the game, head coach Chris Holtmann discussed what the outlook might be for Sueing. According to Holtmann, the forward met with a specialist in Cleveland, a meeting that Holtmann labeled as “productive.”

Beyond that, Holtmann said he expects that the injury is significant, though he stopped short of labeling it a season-ending issue. In the meantime, there is no real timetable for Sueing’s status.
