Chris Holtmann provides injury update on F Kyle Young
Ohio State is looking to get back on track to finish the regular season and came up with an 80-69 win over Michigan State Thursday night.
Held out of action from that game were Zed Key and Kyle Young. Key suffered an ankle injury in the loss to Maryland while Young was initially ruled out with an illness.

Following the game, head coach Chris Holtmann updated Young’s status. According to Holtmann, Young is in concussion protocol.
Chris Holtmann confirms that Kyle Young is in concussion protocol. Young suffered two concussions at the end of the 2020-21 season.

As for an expected timetable for Key and Young to return, Holtmann was unable to provide an update. Ohio State will face Michigan Sunday in the season finale before the B1G Tournament next week.

While Joey Brunk provided a huge spark with an 18-point outing vs. the Spartans, Ohio State will certainly want to be healthy with Young and Key available for the postseason. Hopefully both are able to return to action quickly.
