Chris Olave has been a true star during his time in Columbus, and the wide receiver could have his biggest year yet in 2021.
As a sophomore in 2019, Olave had his breakout year at Ohio State. He finished with 48 catches for 840 yards and 12 touchdowns. Olave was a true deep threat while averaging 17.5 YPC.
In the shortened 2020 season, Olave’s YPC came down slightly, but his usage went up. He led Ohio State with 50 catches for 729 yards and 7 touchdowns while still averaging 14.6 YPC.
Thursday evening, ESPN analyst and College GameDay co-host Kirk Herbstreit unveiled his preseason Herbie Awards. He acknowledged Olave’s importance, dishing out his Ultimate Game Changer Herbie to Olave.

Olave has been phenomenal throughout his career, and he’ll play an important role in the development of Ohio State’s offense this season. The Buckeyes will be rolling with redshirt freshman C.J. Stroud at quarterback to open the year.
