Chris Olave didn’t take long to make an impact in the NFL, much like Detroit Lions rookie Aidan Hutchinson. The former Ohio State wideout scored the 1st preseason touchdown of his career on Friday.

The New Orleans Saints played the Green Bay Packers away from home. He caught a pass from former Notre Dame QB Ian Book. Book rolled out of the pocket, and threaded a pass to Olave in between 2 defenders for the score in the front corner of the end zone.

In Olave’s 1st preseason outing, he had just 1 reception for 4 yards receiving. The former 1st round pick has already done better than his previous numbers. It’ll be interesting to see where Olave ends up in the Saints receiving core with Jarvis Landy, Michael Thomas, and Marquez Calloway set to be the top options.

If Olave can be as good as Thomas has been for the Saints’ organization, he should in the NFL for a long time.
