Chris Olave is having a great start to his NFL career. In Week 18 at home against the Carolina Panthers, the former Ohio State Buckeyes star and rookie wide receiver accumulated 1,000 yards in a season on a 25-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Andy Dalton.

Olave is the first player to account for 1,000 yards in a season since former Ohio State receiver and current Saints receiver Michael Thomas in 2019. Thomas has been battling through each season since 2019.

Olave was drafted by New Orleans with the 11th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after 4 stellar years at Ohio State where he was named a two-time first-team All-B1G selection.

He has been the biggest bright spot for the Saints in this disappointing 2022 NFL season. Going into Week 18 of the season, Olave led the team in receptions with 67 and receiving yards at 982 as well as caught 3 touchdowns.

Olave is on a bright path to being the top offensive playmaker for several years with New Orleans.
