CJ Stroud was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month Thursday afternoon following a simply fantastic first 3 games in the league.

Stroud earned every bit of this award. The former Ohio State quarterback has already thrown for 906 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, earning his first win last Sunday against the Jaguars.

Those are fair numbers for a returner and simply excellent numbers for a rookie quarterback facing what should turn out to be some of the better teams in the league (Ravens, Jags).

Stroud won the award alongside Defensive Rookie of the Month Christian Gonzalez out of Oregon.

And no offense to the Texans, but Stroud’s strong start has come with little help from the rest of his offense. Most of the Texans’ offensive line has dealt with injury issues since the start of the year, and though Tank Dell has emerged as a target for Stroud the Texans are lacking in a truly dominant receiver, too.

Stroud is currently the odds-on favorite to win Rookie of the Year, sitting at +350 as of Thursday, Sept. 28. Any fans looking to get in on the odds can take advantage of the Caesars Ohio promo code to get started!

The former Buckeye is back in action this week as the Texans host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
