CJ Stroud explains Ohio State-Michigan 'truce' with Nico Collins
C.J. Stroud has developed impressive on-field chemistry with Nico Collins. The Houston Texans teammates know better than to talk college rivalries, according to Stroud.
After securing a playoff berth for the Texans, Stroud appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter for a postgame interview. Scott Van Pelt had some fun with the fact that Michigan is heading to Houston to play for the College Football Playoff National Championship. SVP asked Stroud if Collins, who played at Michigan, likes to talk college football.
“Me and Nico, we have a truce. He never beat us (Ohio State) and I never beat them (Michigan). So we don’t really talk about it much,” the former Buckeye QB explained.
Stroud, though, had to say something about his wideout’s alma mater.
“Yeah man, it sucks that he went there,” Stroud said, drawing chuckles from Van Pelt.
“[Nico Collins] never beat [Ohio State] and I never beat [Michigan] so we don’t really talk about it.”
