C.J. Stroud discussed potentially having Ohio State’s receiver room healthy. That is not something the Buckeyes have had the luxury of this season.

Stroud noted how Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s absence throughout the majority of the season has not made opposing teams feel sorry for Ohio State. His absence has allowed more wide receivers to come in and make a name for themselves.

With Smith-Njigba’s eventual return on the horizon, the elite passing game for Ohio State is set to get even better. Stroud opened up to 11W’s Chase Brown about teams shouldn’t fear Ohio State,

“This is football, man. Nobody fears us, and we don’t fear nobody.”

He talked about the great performances of Emeka Egbuka and Marvin Harrison Jr., who have combined for 66 receptions for 1,191 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns through 6 games this season.

Stroud had this to say about the emergence of Egbuka and Harrison:

“They’ve been playing well since their freshman year coming in,” he said. “We have a lot of depth in our (receiver) room, which is amazing.”

The Buckeyes have the top-ranked scoring offense in the nation in points per game (48.8) and the 15th in passing yards per game (315.7). The Buckeyes face Iowa at home on Saturday at noon ET on FOX.
