CJ Stroud is honoring late Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins with a special message written inside the No. 7 on his spring practice jersey. Ohio State shared the image through social media.

Haskins was tragically killed after being hit by a vehicle in South Florida. He was training with Pittsburgh Steelers teammates in the area. He was 24.

While at Ohio State, Haskins wore the No. 7 jersey — which is also the number Stroud currently wears for the scarlet and gray. Below is the image:

Stroud also state on Twitter, “Your legacy will live on big bro.”

Haskins had one of the most magical seasons in B1G history for a quarterback in 2018, his lone season as the starter. He started all 14 games for the Buckeyes, throwing for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns while completing passes at a 70% clip. At the end of the year, he was named B1G Offensive Player of the Year, B1G Quarterback of the Year and was a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Ohio State plans to honor Haskins at the annual spring game on Saturday. The Buckeyes will take the field at 12 p.m. ET and the scrimmage will air on Big Ten Network.
