Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba have agreed to an NIL deal as style ambassadors for Express. The brand is based out of Columbus.

According to 247Sports, Stroud and Smith-Njigba — both considered Heisman Trophy contenders in 2022 — will use their social media platforms to show off some of the brands clothing attire. They will also make in-store appearances and have other responsibilities.

“C.J. and Jaxon are two outstanding, influential college athletes from our corporate hometown of Columbus, Ohio and we expect that their authenticity and relatability will appeal to our current customers as well as draw a new, younger demographic to our brand,” said Express chief marketing officer Sara Tervo.

Stroud was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2021, following his first year as the starter for the Buckeyes. He ended the season with 4,435 passing yards and 44 touchdown strikes to lead the Buckeyes to an 11-2 year.

Smith-Njigba closed out the campaign as the leading receiver for Ohio State. He racked up 1,606 yards and 9 touchdowns on 95 receptions.
