CJ Stroud joins elite company during unreal rookie season
C.J. Stroud’s 2023 season has been phenomenal, which is starting to become an understatement.
Stroud joined the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning as the only quarterbacks who have led the NFL in passing yards and touchdown-interception ratio through the first 10 weeks since the 1970 merger.
Stroud had 356 yards passing with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception in the 30-27 win over the Cincinatti Bengals on Sunday. Stroud led the offense down to field goal range as Matt Ammendola hit the game winner.

Stroud has accounted for 2,626 yards passing with 17 touchdowns and 2 interceptions this season. Houston is now 5-4 on the year and sits in second place in the AFC South behind the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The No. 2 overall pick is playing up to his expectations. The Texans were one of the worst teams in the NFL last season at 3-13-1. The turnaround for the franchise has been nothing short of amazing.
If Stroud keeps this up, he’ll head back home with plenty of hardware at the end of his rookie season.
