CJ Stroud lands B1G QB record with impressive stretch across 2021-22 seasons
CJ Stroud and Ohio State decimated another opponent on their march to a hopeful B1G Championship and College Football Playoff berth this weekend.
Ohio State took down Indiana 56-14 on Saturday with Stroud racking up 297 passing yards and 5 TDs. Not only did he take home the win, but the QB also took home a B1G record in the process.
Stroud became the first QB in B1G history to throw 30 pass TDs in consecutive seasons. In 2021, Stroud threw for 44 TDs and over 4,400 passing yards in Ohio State’s 10-2 season.

Last season, Stroud became the only quarterback in Ohio State history to throw for 5 touchdowns against B1G competition four times in a single season. Stroud met that record for the second time in two seasons on Saturday.
Besides being a record-holder, Stroud is also considered a top contender for the Heisman this season. Should Ohio State win out over Michigan in 2 weeks, many analysts consider the QB a lock for the trophy.
The Buckeyes will face Maryland in Week 12 action next Saturday.
