CJ Stroud named to AFC Pro Bowl roster after dynamic rookie campaign
CJ Stroud’s impressive rookie NFL season ended in a Pro Bowl nod, the Houston Texans confirmed on Tuesday.
After joining the Texans as the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, it did not take long for Stroud to secure the starting quarterback spot with the franchise. After a pair of early losses to start the season, he eventually caught fire and delivered some thrilling moments as a rookie.
In the end, Stroud led Houston to an AFC South during the final week of the regular season. He began that crucial game with a huge touchdown on his first pass of the game to send his team into the playoffs.

While Stroud’s season ultimately ended with a loss to the Baltimore Ravens, he proved his strong skill set right out of the gate. Combined with his leadership skills, Stroud is already viewed as the franchise QB for the Texans after a dramatic turnaround under his guidance.
During the regular season, Stroud went 9-6 as the starter while throwing for more than 4,100 yards with 23 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. He also completed right at 64% of his passes and broke multiple franchise records during a postseason win over the Cleveland Browns.
