CJ Stroud is back in action! As a result, the Houston Texans are back in the win column, and Stroud stands on the doorstep of the NFL Playoffs in his rookie season with the franchise.

Stroud had been sidelined the past two games for Houston since a concussion sustained on Dec. 10. Fortunately, he was back in the lineup against the Tennessee Titans, and he did not waste much time making an impact.

Early in the second quarter, Stroud connected with Brevin Jordan out of the backfield for a passing touchdown. It was a part of 20 first-half points for the Texans as they overwhelmed the Titans early on.

Stroud would not find the end zone again in the game, but he finished with an efficient 24-for-32 outing with 213 yards and a touchdown in the 26-3 win. Houston avoided committing a turnover in the big win as Stroud guided the team to a 9-7 record on the season.

Now, Houston has a great shot at reaching the postseason. The Texans can clinch a bid to the playoffs with a win in the regular season finale over the Indianapolis Colts next weekend.

The turnaround for the Texans has been stark, and a lot of that rides on the passing prowess of Stroud. We’ll see if the Buckeye product can deliver another gem and guide Houston into the playoffs as a rookie starter.
