CJ Stroud starting 2022 with a clean slate despite Rose Bowl: 'I want to be a legend'
C.J. Stroud had a dominant year in his first as a starter for Ohio State, finishing 4th in voting for the Heisman Trophy. He cemented that year with a dominant outing in a comeback win over Utah during the Rose Bowl.

Nevertheless, Stroud – and star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba – is focused on starting 2022 with a clean slate. According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Stroud and Smith-Njigba said their message for the season is “we haven’t accomplished anything.”
Stroud went on to clarify that he’s not just content with one season in the books as a starter. Instead, he wants to become a “legend” and one of the best QBs in the history of the Buckeyes.

There’s no denying stroud has the stats and the talent. The next step for Stroud is to post a repeat performance – with a win over Michigan – and a chance to play in the College Football Playoff in 2022.
