C.J. Stroud had a performance on Saturday that solidified his name amongst Heisman contenders.

The accolades for Stroud continued on Monday after the Buckeyes took down Michigan State 49-20.  Stroud landed on Matt Leinart’s Top 5 performers in Week 6 after the QB threw for 361 yards and 6 touchdowns, with just 1 interception. Stroud also led the offensive attack, with the Buckeyes rushing for an amazing 237 yards on the Spartans’ defense, putting up a total of 614 yards on the day.

Stroud’s successful passing game means that the QB topped the list with 5 or more passing touchdowns this season with 3. Mississippi State’s Will Rogers is the closest to Stroud with 2 games, but is still  short of Stroud halfway through the season.

Stroud and the Buckeyes have a bye week break before taking on Iowa on Oct. 22.
