CJ Stroud's elite outing puts QB on historic shortlist for impressive accomplishment
CJ Stroud produced a game for the ages on Sunday afternoon. That performance puts the former Ohio State star on a shortlist of other quarterbacks to compile those types of elite numbers.
In a dramatic win for the Houston Texans, Stroud went 30-for-42 throwing the ball for 470 yards and 5 touchdowns. He did not turn the ball over and came up clutch late in the game.
Stroud delivered a game-winning drive with less than a minute to go, including the game-winning touchdown pass with 6 seconds remaining. In the process, Stroud is just the 6th QB in NFL history to ever produce a game of 450+ passing yards and 5+ passing touchdowns without an interception.
Stroud is the first QB to accomplish the feat since Jared Goff in 2018.
C.J Stroud is the 6th player in NFL history to record 450 Pass yds, 5 Pass TD & 0 Int in a game.

Stroud is certainly lighting the NFL world on fire in his rookie season, and he is likely the frontrunner to become the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year at this point in the season. We’ll see if he can keep things rolling next week.
