Colin Cowherd has produced his fair share of hot takes over the course of his career. However, his latest take likely stems from some missteps in research, or a lack of common sense.

Cowherd was breaking down a segment about NFL quarterbacks that he classified as “20 guys that are not getting to a Super Bowl and certainly not winning it.” The first few players Cowherd included made sense, but he referenced former Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins in that same group.

Unfortunately, Haskins tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle in Florida in April 2022. That was over a year ago.

“From Baker Mayfield, Teddy Bridgewater, Dwayne Haskins. Guys that are just not (winning a Super Bowl),” said Cowherd.

Needless to say, that is an egregious miss on Cowherd’s part, and a move that is — intentional or not — in poor taste without a correction (to this point). The comment was noticed by a number of people on social media with the reactions looking as expected.

We will see if Cowherd or his team addresses those comments down the road.
