When Gareon Conley signed his rookie contract with the Oakland Raiders last Friday, speculation grew that the former Buckeye would not be indicted for rape.
As it turned out, that proved to be true.
A Cleveland grand jury refused to indict Conley for an alleged incident that occurred in a Cleveland hotel prior to the 2017 NFL draft, according to FOX8’s Ed Gallek:

Conley was drafted by the Raiders with the No. 24 overall pick despite the fact that it was days removed from rape allegations going public.
With no indictment,, the NFL will close its case because the incident occurred before he joined the league. Conley can, however, still be sued for sexual assault.
