Courtney Smith, the ex-wife of former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith, met with the university’s independent investigate team on Monday, according to a statement from her attorney.

Julia Leveridge, the counsel for Courtney Smith, issued a statement on Monday stating that her client met with the independent investigate team hired by The Ohio State University Board of Trustees.

“She was accompanied by her lawyers and welcomed the opportunity to speak to the investigators,” the statement read. “Courtney continues to be thankful for the support she has received during this time.”

Ohio State hired the independent team to investigate Urban Meyer’s knowledge of Zach Smith’s alleged domestic violence incident that occurred in 2015. Meyer is still on administrative leave.

The investigation is expected to conclude sometime this week.

No other details regarding Smith’s meeting with the investigative team were immediately available.
