Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh are making themselves at home in SEC territory. Both B1G coaches already had several blue-chip recruits from that area committed for 2018.

On Tuesday, Meyer landed one more.

Four-star defensive end Brenton Cox announced his commitment to Ohio State:

Cox is the No. 2 strong-side defensive end and the No. 43 player overall in the 2018 class. The Stockbridge, Ga. recruit is also the No. 7 recruit in the state of Georgia.

The 6-4.5, 247-pound defensive end picked the Buckeyes instead of in-state Georgia. Cox also has offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU and others.

His announcement came after he visited both Ohio State and Georgia for their spring games.

Cox’s commitment marked the second from Georgia (Emory Jones) and the eighth overall, all of which are ranked in the top 86 of the 247sports composite.

The Buckeyes now have the No. 2 class in the B1G and the No. 5 class overall in the 247sports rankings.
