Ohio State product Curtis Samuel will be making his 2021 NFL debut this weekend, according to Washington Football Team coach Ron Rivera.

Samuel, a wide receiver, was previously on injured reserve due to a groin injury.

“He’ll be active, he’ll be ready to roll,” Rivera said via The Athletic.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Samuel was selected by the Panthers in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Samuel joined the Washington Football team this season on a three-year, $34.5 million contract. Samuel has amassed 185 receptions, 2,087 receiving yards, and 19 TDs during his pro career.

Samuel and fellow Washington teammate Terry McLaurin played together at Ohio State from 2015-16. During his time at Ohio State, Samuel caught 107 receptions for 1,249 yards and nine touchdowns, while also rushing for 1,286 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Samuel captured a national title with Ohio State in 2015 and was an All-American in 2016.
