Dan Orlovsky knows the Chicago Bears have an important choice to make.

With the No. 1 pick close to set for Chicago heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, the Bears will have to decide between keeping former Ohio State QB Justin Fields or moving on to select who many believe to be one of the top talents in a lot of years, Caleb Williams. The Bears currently own the No. 1 pick via Carolina, which sits at 2-12 on the year with 3 games to play.

And on Get Up, Orlovsky seemed to paint a picture that Chicago should move on from Fields. Here’s what he had to say:

Now, there’s certainly an argument to be made against Orlovsky’s statement here, for multiple reasons. Some believe Williams doesn’t have the mental part of the game, and others are concerned about his growing reputation as a bit of a diva. But that doesn’t mean this should be an easy decision.

Fields’ growth since Year 1 is obvious. The Bears QB is a better passer and is slowly learning the ins and outs of what it takes to be an NFL QB. But there are legitimate concerns with his ability to read defenses his 3rd year in the league comes to a close.

Fields has 3 remaining games to prove to the Bears staff that he’s their guy moving forward. Let’s see what he can do.
