Remember when Ohio State demolished Nebraska last night?

Of course you do — it happened last night. Well, some people aren’t buying into all the noise that was brought our way. Part of that may have to do with preseason expectations.

Many thought Nebraska would be vastly improved in Year 2 under Scott Frost. Also, part of it may be because ESPN’s College GameDay was in Lincoln yesterday. The atmosphere that comes with that is immense.

People expected a fairly close football game last night.

And again, Only Ohio State showed up. The Buckeyes won 48-7 and have now outscored their opponents 262-43 and are 5-0 on the season. Pretty good, right?

Again, some are impressed. Others, not so much. Consider Danny Kanell on the “not so much” side:

Again, Kanell has a bit of a point. Nebraska under Frost as head coach hasn’t really done anything yet. The offense has shown that it can be explosive at times. And yes, that is at times. It isn’t always explosive, scoring 40-plus on everybody.

Defensively, the Huskers have had issues since the start of last season. So, should we be anointing Ohio State as this almighty team?

Kanell doesn’t think so.
