Urban Meyer announced at B1G Media Days that one of his defensive ends has decided to transfer out of the program.
Darius Slade, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound lineman, will be leaving Ohio State prior to the start of the 2017 season according to Meyer.
Slade was a member of the Buckeyes’ 2014 class, which ranked third nationally and was the top in the B1G.

The Montclair, NJ native appeared in seven games in 2015 but missed last season with a lower leg injury that he sustained in fall camp. He was entering his junior year of eligibility with the Buckeyes.
Slade is a former three-star recruit and had 12 offers – five from the B1G – before signing with Ohio State.
