David Pollack skeptical of Ohio State's national title hopes without Nick Bosa
Ohio State is on an unbelievable run this season, but at least one analyst believes the absence of Nick Bosa could make the difference for the Buckeyes’ hopes to win a national title.
ESPN’s David Pollack was asked about the team’s chances now that they will be without the star DL for the rest of the season. The story began with a report earlier this week that Bosa would not return to action for the Buckeyes this season. Instead, he will begin training for the 2019 NFL Draft once he is cleared to return to action following surgery for an injury he sustained in the win over TCU.

When asked about the impact on the team, Pollack indicated he does not believe Ohio State will be able to win the national championship without Bosa. He still thinks the Buckeyes are strong contenders to make the Playoff, but his absence leaves a huge void for the team.
Pollack made his comments Friday morning on ESPN’s Get Up:
“No,” said Pollack when asked if the Buckeyes could win the national championship without Bosa. “I think he was a guy they needed to have back to make those couple of extra plays to make the difference. I think you needed Bosa…without Bosa, I think they’re one of those teams that you put in the group of 5-8 teams that are gonna be in the Playoff discussion, but I can’t see them winning it without him.”
Ohio State has been riding QB Dwayne Haskins and a potent offense lately. Can the Buckeyes get by with wins in shootouts?
