“I want to thank God. Without him, none of this would be possible,” wrote Jones. “I want to thank my family for helping me through the tough times of college and providing love and care. Thank you to all The Ohio State coaching staff that have put me on this stage to showcase my abilities on the premier stage… I would like to say that I’m entering my name in this upcoming NFL Draft.”

The official statement from Jones is unsurprising. He previously accepted an invitation to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, a move that all but guaranteed he was leaving Ohio State following the 2022 season.

Now, it will be interesting to see how Jones boosts his stock during the pre-draft workouts. Best of luck to Jones as he makes the jump to the next level.
