Deion Sanders sent a classy message to new Tennessee State coach Eddie George on Monday night.
After it was reported that George would be taking over as head coach, Sanders — who has the same role at Jackson State — Tweeted out his congratulations:

Sanders’ and George’s NFL careers overlapped by several years in the late 1990s. They were never teammates, but both did play for the Dallas Cowboys.
George was a running back at Ohio State and played mostly with the Tennessee Titans in the NFL. During his time with the Buckeyes, George rushed for 3,768 yards and 44 touchdowns. George won the Heisman Trophy in 1995.
Jackson State and Tennessee State are currently scheduled to play each other on Sept. 11, setting up a highly-anticipated FCS showdown. That will be a tremendous test for both Sanders and George as they lead their programs during an early portion of their coaching careers.
