Denzel Burke recorded an interception in the second half of Saturday’s action. He became the first Ohio State corner to do so since the 2021 season.

The wild drought came to an end as Burke took a touchdown away from Youngstown State. The turnover was also the first by the Ohio State defense this season.

It’s worth noting that Jim Knowles’ defense utilizes a lot of safeties, but the fact that it took over a year for a cornerback to grab an interception in the scheme is still insane.

While the turnovers are good to see for Ohio State fans, the Buckeye faithful should also be glad that the offense came together on Saturday as well.

It’ll be interesting to see if Ohio State can continue forcing turnovers as Western Kentucky comes to town in Week 3.
