Dre’Mont Jones has been a terror all season long, but Ohio State may not have the star defender for its bowl game.

The Buckeyes found out Sunday afternoon that a trip to the CFB Playoff was not meant to be. Though they knocked off Northwestern soundly in the B1G Championship Game, Ohio State remained locked into the No. 6 position in the rankings.

Oklahoma vaulted into the fourth and final Playoff spot after taking down Texas Saturday. Georgia, despite hanging tough in a loss to Alabama, slipped to No. 5.

Though not playing for a national championship, the Buckeyes will still advance to the Rose Bowl for a matchup with No. 9 Washington. However, Jones is undecided on whether or not he’ll play in the game:

Jones let it slip after the win over Michigan that he had played his last game at the Horseshoe. He later backtracked from that statement, but it appears likely Jones will head to the NFL Draft after the season is over. With 12 TFL, 7.5 sacks, and an interception this season, Jones’ stock is likely at an all-time high.
