Dwayne Haskins carted to locker room after taking low hit

Dwayne Haskins was having a strong afternoon in the NFL, but an injury has forced him to the sideline.
The former Ohio State signal-caller is now with the Washington Redskins and was taking on the New York Giants Sunday. It started as one of Haskins’ best starts of his rookie season before he was injured.
It came on a hit as Haskins was trying to scramble out of the pocket. As he rolled to his left, he was hit by one defender from behind around his knees as another one delivered a hit up top.
The impact rolled Haskins back on his leg at an awkward angle that forced him to be removed. Mark Bullock with The Athletic shared the video of the hit:

Washington announced it as an ankle injury with Haskins’ status to return as doubtful:

Haskins had completed 12-of-15 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns before the injury occurred. Hopefully, the injury is nothing major and he is able to bounce back quickly.
