Over a week ago, Ohio State was left out of the College Football Playoff picture. On Saturday night, Dwayne Haskins placed third in the Heisman Trophy race. And on Monday, the Buckeyes’ gunslinger was listed as a third-team All-American by the Associated Press.

After all those snubs, Haskins is out to prove something. And he’s letting everyone know it.

Following the release of the AP All-America teams, Haskins fired off a tweet saying “Keep adding fuel to my fire.”

That doesn’t sound like good news for Washington, which would’ve already had its hands full trying to contain Haskins. Now, he’s a quarterback on a mission.

Haskins led the nation with 4,580 passing yards and 47 touchdowns through the air. Still, he wasn’t considered a real threat to Kyler Murray or Tua Tagovailoa for the Heisman. And despite Ohio State’s B1G title and 12-1 record, the Buckeyes were never really considered for the fourth and final playoff spot.

Those snubs give Haskins and the Buckeyes plenty of motivation for the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.

Ohio State fans have to love the attitude Haskins is taking headed into the Rose Bowl Game. It would be the perfect end to the season and would be the perfect sendoff for head coach Urban Meyer.
