Dwayne Haskins is going to win a Super Bowl. That’s the promise the Ohio State quarterback made on Monday night during the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Monday night, Clemson and Alabama competed for a national title, an opportunity that Haskins didn’t get because the College Football Playoff selection committee kept the 12-1 B1G champs out of the top four spots. Instead, the Buckeyes settled for a 28-23 win over Washington in the Rose Bowl to finish 13-1.
Though Haskins didn’t get the chance to win a title at the college level, he’s guaranteeing he’ll win a world championship when he’s in the NFL.
“Even though I didn’t get a chance to play in the cfb playoff, best believe ima win a super bowl,” Haskins wrote on Twitter during the game.

Earlier this week, Haskins announced he would forgo next season at Ohio State and declared for the 2019 NFL Draft. The record-breaking quarterback is expected to be a first round draft pick.
Haskins led the nation in passing yards and passing touchdowns this season, and broke over 20 Ohio State records. He also sits atop the B1G in a few single-season categories, as well.
Dreaming big isn’t anything new to Haskins. When the quarterback was a child, he predicted that he’d play quarterback at Ohio State. A decade later, he turned out to be one of the best in program history.
Haskins had a heck of a season in Columbus and it would’ve been a lot of fun to see him try to pick apart the Clemson and Alabama defenses in the College Football Playoff.
It will be fun to see Haskins do it at the next level, too.
