Dwayne Haskins has earned another award for his incredible season at Ohio State.

On Tuesday, the DC Touchdown Club announced that Haskins is this year’s Washington Metro College Player of the Year. He will be honored at the annual awards dinner on April 18.

Haskins threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns last season, leading the NCAA in both categories. He was named the B1G Quarterback of the Year and the B1G Offensive Player of the Year after an incredible campaign. He also finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting.

In his first year under center, Haskins led Ohio State to a 13-1 record, which included wins over TCU, Penn State, Michigan State and Michigan. The Buckeyes also won the B1G title with a victory over Northwestern and defeated Washington in the Rose Bowl.

After just one year as the starter in Columbus, Haskins elected to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft and is expected to be one of the top quarterback prospects available. Last week, he cracked Todd McShay’s top 10 among overall players in the draft.

Haskins is a native of Highland Park, New Jersey and attended The Bullis School near Potomac, Maryland.
