Dwayne Haskins has been phenomenal this season.
Anybody could tell you that — even a non-Ohio State fan. But just how good has he been?
If you’ve followed along this season, you’ve seen Haskins break numerous Ohio State and Big Ten records seemingly game after game. In the Big Ten Championship against Northwestern, this was no different.
The Buckeyes’ sophomore QB passed former Michigan QB Denard Robinson for single-season all-purpose yardage in the first quarter against the Wildcats. Robinson had 4,272 yards in 2010 and Haskins overtook that mark with a 17-yard pass to WR Parris Campbell.
Later in the game, Haskins also beat out former teammate J.T. Barrett for the most total TDs responsible for in a single season in the Big Ten, when the current signal caller threw a 42-yard TD pass to WR Terry McLaurin. The score was Haskins’ 48th of the season, overtaking Barrett’s previous conference-best 47.
Ohio State currently leads Northwestern 24-7 at halftime and the game can be seen on FOX.
