Dwayne Haskins responds to Tate Martell's message on Twitter
Ohio State’s quarterbacks went a combined 30 for 33 with 354 yards and 5 touchdowns in the 52-3 win over Rutgers on Saturday.
Dwayne Haskins is the starter in 2018, and was 20 for 23 with 233 yards and 4 touchdowns, while backup Tate Martell was a perfect 10 for 10 for 121 yards and 1 touchdown in the air. Martell also led the Buckeyes in rushing with 8 carries for 95 yards and a touchdown.
Martell took to Twitter to send a message with praise for Ohio State interim coach and offensive coordinator Ryan Day, and Haskins responded to his backup with a Twitter message of his own.
We push each other to be great! Proud of the way you played yesterday! Thanks bro 🙏 https://t.co/24iyR8gRdI

“We pushed each other to be great,” said Haskins, “Proud of the way you played yesterday!”
Here is Martell’s original tweet.
Two things I forgot to mention in my interview:
1. Coach Day has made me such a better player since I got to OSU. Best coach I’ve ever been around.
2. Dwayne makes me a better quarterback. He’s as gifted of a player at quarterback that I’ve seen. He pushes me to get better.
