Dwayne Haskins has yet to announce if he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft, and it looks like one player is waiting on his decision before making a move.

According to Dave Biddle with 247 Sports, Haskins admitted that Georgia quarterback Justin Fields contacted him recently. Fields, a freshman and former 5-star recruit, is investigating a transfer after playing sparingly for the Bulldogs this season.

Haskins said Fields is particularly waiting to see what his decision for 2019 will be:

“He’s a great kid,” Haskins said. “He hit me up earlier. He’s just waiting to see what I do. I try to be positive and help as many people as I can. You know, Justin is going through something right now.”

It has been rumored that Ohio State is the frontrunner to land Fields should he transfer. However, he would likely not transfer to the Buckeyes should Haskins return for 2019.

Haskins went on to describe Fields as “a freak of nature” while praising his work ethic. The two spent time working out together over the summer. Time will only tell if Fields winds up in Columbus for 2019.
