Dwayne Haskins spins defender around with beautiful pitch fake

Dwayne Haskins had a strong afternoon for the Washington Redskins, including making a defender look absolutely silly on this play.

The rookie signal-caller and former Ohio State Buckeye had arguably his best outing as an NFL player in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Haskins did not throw an interception and completed 19-of-28 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard score to former Ohio State teammate Terry McLaurin.

It was a nice sign for Haskins and Washington’s offense, and he showed he can be more than just a passer. Washington ran a little option play against Philadelphia with Haskins serving as the pitchman.

With a defender in his face immediately, Haskins faked a pitch to free up some room to operate. The Eagles defender bit hard on the fake with Haskins creating enough room to eventually flip to Adrian Peterson.
