E.J. Liddell ‘questionable’ for Ohio State-Illinois game

Ohio State’s leading scorer is “questionable” heading into Thursday night’s B1G clash with Illinois.
Adam Jardy of The Columbus Dispatch shared an OSU announcement that Liddell, who averages 19.5 points per game, has been dealing with flu symptoms.

Illinois is ranked No. 15 and a half game out of the B1G lead at 12-4. No. 4 Purdue and No. 14 Wisconsin are tied for the top spot at 13-4. Kofi Cockburn led the Illini to a 79-74 win over Michigan State with 27 points Saturday.
Ohio State, meanwhile, is ranked No. 22 and 2 games back in fourth place at 10-5 in conference play. The Buckeyes needed overtime to beat Indiana 80-69 on Monday night. Liddell had 16 points in that game.
Thursday night’s game at the State Farm Center in Champaign is set for 9 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
