Eddrick Houston, 5-star DL and Ohio State target, sets commitment date

Eddrick Houston will announce his college commitment later this week.
Houston shared that news on Sunday afternoon. He’ll decide between 5 finalists on Tuesday, Aug. 22. He’s still considering Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and USC.

Houston is one of the top prospects in the country regardless of position. He’s the No. 23 overall player and the No. 4 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 6 player from the state of Georgia.
He’s a longtime target for Ohio State. He took an official visit to Columbus back in June. Ohio State is currently the favorite to land his commitment, according to 247Sports Crystal Ball projections.
Houston attends Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 265 pounds.
Ohio State has 21 commits so far in the class of 2024. The group sits at No. 2 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
