Liddell has been a dynamic player throughout his career in Columbus and continues to perform at a high level this year. Through 17 games, the junior forward is averaging 19.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. He’s also shooting better than 52% from the floor.

Ohio State is 13-4 on the season with a 6-2 record in B1G play. The Buckeyes are a half-game behind Wisconsin and Illinois (7-2) for first place in the conference standings.

Following the 2020-21 season, Liddell entered his name into the NBA Draft to test the waters. He decided to return to Columbus for another season and is a big reason the Buckeyes are in the hunt for a B1G regular season title this season.

Liddell has recorded 4 double-doubles this season and has done so in back-to-back games against IUPUI and Minnesota. In the game against the Jaguars, he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 boards in an 83-37 victory.

Ohio State closes out the month of January on the road against No. 6 Purdue on Sunday. The Buckeyes and Boilermakers are scheduled for a 12 p.m. ET tip-off with the game airing on CBS.
