Ohio State is still in the running for one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 recruiting class.

The player is Dylan Lonergan, a 4-star QB who plays for Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia. He released his top 5 list on Friday that included the Buckeyes alongside Alabama, Florida and South Carolina out of the SEC and Stanford out of the Pac-12.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Lonergan is the No. 9 QB nationally and No. 100 recruit in the country for 2023. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 215 lbs.

As things currently stand, Ohio State holds the No. 4 recruiting class nationally with 9 commitments for the cycle. Just one of those prospects (Ohio OT Luke Montgomery) ranks inside the top-100 nationally. Ohio State is also without a QB commitment for 2023. It will be interesting to see if Lonergan winds up in Columbus to begin his college career.
