The No. 1 ranked recruit in the state of Virginia for the 2021 recruiting class has officially announced his commitment date.

Tristan Leigh will commit on Jan. 2 during the All-American Bowl, according to his latest tweet:

He announced his top five list of schools back in July and he will be choosing between Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and LSU.

Unfortunately for Leigh and many of the elite high school prospects around the country, they will not get to participate in the traditional All-American Bowl as it was canceled due to COVID-19. At least Leigh – and many others – will still get the thrill of announcing their college destination live on national television.

According to 247Sports, Leigh is considered the 11th ranked player overall in the country and the fourth-ranked offensive tackle in the country. His 247Sports composite ranking is 0.9939.

It doesn’t look like there’s some high confidence in the current crystal balls on 247Sports but some have him going to Oklahoma and some have him going to LSU.

Whatever the case, one of the five programs mentioned above will be getting one of the best prospects in the country once 2021 hits.
