This time, the Buckeyes pulled a commitment from Benji Gosnell, a young prospect out of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Gosnell is the No. 11 TE for the 2022 class and is rated as a four-star recruit. He is also a top-300 player on the Composite Rankings.
Gosnell was also considering Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke, and East Carolina before committing to the Buckeyes:

The tight end position is one that has proven to play a big role in the Ohio State offense, alongside the host of talented receivers that play for the Buckeyes. Current Buckeye tight end Jeremy Ruckert is tied for the team lead with two receiving touchdowns in 2020. Hopefully Gosnell will be able to make a similar impact in Columbus.
