Emeka Egbuka delivers explosive 68-yard play for first TD of 2024
Emeka Egbuka just made an explosive play to tie Ohio State’s game in Week 4.
The star Ohio State wide receiver caught a screen pass and took it 68 yards to the house to tie the game at 7. Egbuka went untouched on the entire run thanks to elite speed and great blocking. This was Egbuka’s 1st TD of the 2024 season.

This game did not start out the way the Buckeyes would have liked, but they’re hoping this play can light a spark.
On Marshall’s 1st possession, the Thundering Herd went on a long, methodical drive to score the first points of the game. The Thundering Herd marched on a 13-play, 75-yard drive that took almost 7 minutes off the clock with the drive culminating in Ethan Payne scoring a 1-yard TD.
However, it did only take 2 plays for the Buckeyes to tie it up on the Egbuka TD. The 68-yard score is now the 2nd-longest TD reception of Egbuka’s career.
Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith have combined to give the Buckeyes arguably the best 1-2 punch at WR in the nation. Coming into Week 4, Egbuka had 9 catches for 149 yards, while Smith had 11 catches for 221 yards and 3 TDs.
The Buckeyes entered the Week 4 matchup against Marshall as a heavy favorite. The No. 3 team in the nation was favored by 38.5 points over the Herd.
With a win, the Buckeyes will improve to 3-0 as they begin B1G play next weekend against Michigan State.
