Emeka Egbuka didn’t take too long to make his mark on the Michigan State game. Egbuka gashed the Spartans’ defense for a big score.

Egbuka’s touchdown came on the drive following the pick six that tied up the game. Marvin Harrison Jr. scored Ohio State’s first touchdown of the game on a 19-yard touchdown pass.

C.J. Stroud found Egbuka wide open after Michigan State made a coverage mistake on defense. Egbuka cashed it in for a 69-yard touchdown reception. Egbuka and Harrison are leading Ohio State in receiving yards in Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s absence.

With that touchdown pass, Stroud has now passed former Ohio State QB Justin Fields on the program’s career passing touchdowns record. Stroud is now in second place on the list and trails only JT Barrett on the all-time list.

Michigan State is playing Ohio State close so far in the first half. The last time that Ohio State lost to Michigan State was back in 2015. The Buckeyes currently lead the Spartans 14-7 in East Lansing.

Mel Tucker will be hoping to get his team back on track after the 2-3 start to the season.
