Emeka Egbuka should give the Ohio State receiving corps a boost as he will reportedly be returning from injury against Rutgers.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Egbuka will be back after an ankle injury. Egbuka has warmed up before the last two games, but not played. He should return to action as long as there aren’t any setbacks during warmups.

In the games Egbuka has played in this season, he’s been productive. He has 303 yards receiving from five games played with 3 touchdowns.

The Buckeyes face a Rutgers team that became bowl eligible recently with a win over Indiana.

Ohio State fans can breathe a sigh of relief. This may have reminded them of the injury to Jaxon Smith-Njigba last season. Njigba picked up a hamstring injury against Notre Dame and only played in three games last season.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a force on his own, but it might be nice to give the defense someone else to worry about.
